ABOUT

The Starlite Campbell Band released their highly anticipated new album ‘The Language of Curiosity’ on November 5, 2021.

In December 2021 'The Language Of Curiosity' was the second most played album by the UK Independent Blues Broadcasters Association, included in de Blueskrant top 50 albums of 2021 and #7 in the Music News top 28 albums of 2021.

‘'The Language of Curiosity’ looks at the world we live in today from different points of view; like different sides of the Rubik's cube and continues to push musical boundaries and creatively melt & fuse genres.

Inspired by the production techniques of 'the late '60s to early '70s British rock and blues, think Peter Green, Faces, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin but not like those really... more like Starlite-Campbell!.

For their second album Starlite and Campbell focussed on writing authentic, fun, thoughtful, sometimes brutal words in service of the story and the song which informed the feel and style of music; from full-on rock ’n’ roll, tribal drums, thunderous bass, badass filthy dirty guitar riffs, drunken echoes of slide and lap steel, melting melodies, crazy tornadoes of sound, sirens and laughter to the nakedness of silence and intimate breathing, washed by waves of delicious double vocal harmonies.”

"A very British sound with a fusion of fearless, original '70s British rock and British blues marinated with subtle undertones of psychedelia, prog and folk, ignited by the passionate heat of scorching hot chilli sauce! "

Thank you for directly supporting handmade, independently produced music - you really do make a difference!

REVIEWS

"Oh My, Oh My! What a cracker this one is. I listened to the whole album at one go and I while I was listening I kept on being reminded of something—a sound, an ambience—that I could not quite identify. Then it hit me. This is what Cream sounded like before they became super-stars" | Ian K. McKenzie, Editor - Blues in the South.
